Welcome to Brookfield Renewable Energy Group’s Public Relicensing Website for the Bear Swamp Project. The Bear Swamp Project is located along the Deerfield River in northwestern Massachusetts and consists of two developments: the 600-megawatt Bear Swamp Pumped Storage Development and the 10-megawatt Fife Brook Development. This site provides information about the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (FERC’s) relicensing process for Bear Swamp Project and provides access to public documents developed throughout the relicensing.
